For those interested in astronomy, there is an astronomical observatory, where the moon, the stars and different galaxies can be observed. The town offers perfect hunting and fishing conditions near the Rabisha Lake. The rocks are perfect for long walks and mountain bike riding.
The Magura Cave is one of the most interesting sightseeing in the region. The cave
is 3 km long and is a beautiful underground labyrinth with an annual temperature
of 12 degrees. These climate conditions, often compared to the conditions in the Champagne region in France are perfect for the production of one of the best champagnes in Bulgaria. The cave is included in UNESCO’s World Heritage Programme. It is famous with its 10 different halls fascinating with the stalactites
and the prehistoric drawings of cavemen, dating 3000 years ago.
